Noise Barriers

Panacor Technologies LLC offers advanced PMMA acrylic acoustic barriers designed to effectively reduce noise in areas where minimal visual impact is required. These acoustic barriers are made from poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), also known as Plexiglas, Lucite, or Perspex. The PANACOR MT15 acoustic panel is specially engineered to reflect noise, providing an ideal solution for road and railway infrastructures.

Their PMMA acoustic barriers are constructed with extruded colorless or tinted PMMA sheets, fitted into metal sections forming a robust support structure. These barriers are designed to withstand various environmental conditions, offering excellent dimensional stability against heat and UV radiation. The panels maintain their properties even after prolonged exposure to sunlight, ensuring long-lasting performance.

One of the key advantages of their PMMA acoustic barriers is their light transmission capability, which provides excellent visual permeability while effectively reducing noise pollution. This makes them an ideal choice for areas where maintaining a clear line of sight is important.

Panacor is committed to delivering high-quality noise abatement solutions that meet stringent European regulations and standards. Their PMMA acoustic barriers are tested and certified by accredited acoustics laboratories, ensuring compliance with standards EN 1793 and EN 1794.

Panacor offers high-performance metallic noise barriers designed to effectively reduce noise pollution in transport infrastructures. These panels are designed to withstand wind forces and are fitted between HEB/HEA vertical posts to achieve the required height in modules of 1000mm/2000mm.

Their concrete noise barriers are tested and certified to meet stringent European regulations and standards, including EN 1793 and EN 1794. They offer excellent acoustic characteristics, with a Class B3 DLR of 47 dB and a Class A2 DL∝ of 4 dB. The structural support for the screen is made up of HEA/HEB metal sections, galvanised and spray coated in accordance with standards EN 1461 and EN 15773.

Panacor offers high-quality wooden noise barriers designed to effectively reduce noise produced by road traffic. Their PANACOR MD11 acoustic panel is engineered to optimize noise abatement characteristics and mechanical performance, ensuring superior sound insulation and durability.

The PANACOR MD11 acoustic screen features a rear wall of 21 mm wide, tongue-and-groove slats with a density of 550 kg/m³, and an inner structure made of 50×50 mm wooden battens, 50 mm thick, 100 kg/m³ dense Rockwool, a 1.2 mm thick, 50 kg/m³ polypropylene mesh, and horizontal slats made of wood measuring 95mm x 21 mm. These acoustic panels are made of Sylvester pine wood from Sweden or Finland, treated to class ‘4’ in vacuum autoclave with steam injection.

Their wooden noise barriers are tested and certified to meet stringent European regulations and standards, including EN 1793 and EN 1794. They offer excellent acoustic characteristics, with a Class B3 DL&R of 29 dB and a Class A3 DL∝ of 8 dB. The support structure for the fence is made up of HEA/HEB metal posts on a welded base plate, both complying with grade S275JR according to standard EN 10025. Posts and base plates are galvanised and heat spray coated to meet the requirements of standards EN 1461 and EN 15773.

Panacor Technologies LLC specializes in manufacturing acoustic fencing systems that combine PMMA modules with units made from other materials such as metal, wood, or concrete. This innovative approach allows for the creation of mixed noise barriers with a wide range of configurations and finishes, providing effective noise abatement while maintaining aesthetic appeal.

Their mixed noise barriers are designed to avoid the wall-enclosure effect that traditional acoustic fencing can produce when installed close to houses. By incorporating PMMA modules with other materials, we ensure that the barriers open the field of vision without compromising their noise reduction properties. This makes them an ideal solution for areas where both visual permeability and noise abatement are crucial.

Panacor Technologies LLC provides advanced TL4 and TL5 noise barrier systems designed to improve the management of residual noise and mitigate sound impacts. Our experienced professionals adapt noise barrier systems to meet the specific needs of our customers, using acoustic studies and field surveys to propose optimal solutions that reduce noise levels and enhance the quality of life.

The noise barrier systems are efficient, versatile, durable, aesthetic, and easy to install on various foundation types, including road structures. They meet the most stringent industry standards based on acoustic characteristics such as the sound transmission coefficient (STC) and the noise reduction coefficient (NRC). Our recent technological advancements allow each of our noise barrier systems to be installed in the zone of intrusion (ZOI) while meeting the severe TL-4 and TL-5 impact tests of the NCHRP Report 350.

They use a performant finite element model to optimize our designs, successfully marketing a sound wall that meets TL-4 and TL-5 requirements. This model allows us to measure deformations and critical elements of all components, optimizing the design of anchors and minimizing stresses transmitted to structures. All their tests, simulations, and final designs are signed by a professional and licensed engineer.

Their integrated systems can be designed and manufactured with various types of acoustic panels, including transparent panels, metallic panels, and PVC panels. They also design specific anchors to optimize their dimensioning and overcome particular site constraints.

Panacor offers versatile PVC noise barriers suitable for a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments, as well as for limiting the spread of sound near traffic lanes. Their PANACOR PVC LW70 noise barriers are designed to provide effective noise abatement while maintaining aesthetic appeal.

Their PVC noise barriers are composed of posts between which we insert the PVC noise barrier panels. These panels are made of recycled PVC in the core, covered by a layer of prime PVC-compound, which is highly UV-resistant and weather-resistant. Available in six colors and up to six meters in length, these barriers can be customized with different textures or prints to meet architectural demands. The lightness of the PVC panels makes them ideal for inclusion in hybrid noise barriers.

PVC reflective profiles have a sound transmission class (STC) rating equal to or greater than 32, and performance can be improved by inserting mineral wool or wrapping one side of the wall with durable insulation. Absorbent PVC slats have a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) between 0.85 and 1, with different patterns of grooves and tongues to enhance acoustic behavior. The mineral wool used is water repellent and mildew resistant, ensuring long-lasting performance.

The PVC noise barriers are designed to meet stringent industry standards, including ASTM E90-09 and EN ISO 10140-2:2010. The PANACOR PVC LW70 A product has been optimized for high levels of sound absorption, while the PANACOR PVC LW70 R product meets the highest standards of durability and performance, including NCHRP Report 350 TL-3, TL-4, and TL-5 requirements.

Panacor offers a variety of noise barriers designed to meet specific environmental and aesthetic needs. Their wildlife passage screens are wooden barriers used on overpasses to guide wild animals and separate them from vehicle traffic. These screens are made from pine treated to Class 4 vacuum autoclave with steam injection, ensuring protection against insects, fungus, and solar radiation.

The birdstrike protection screens are designed to prevent bird collisions with trains by forcing birds to fly over the top of passing trains. These barriers are made from galvanized steel, spray-coated for excellent resistance to adverse weather and rust, requiring minimal maintenance.

Vegetation screens are noise barriers covered with climbing flora, providing an efficient noise reduction solution that is also aesthetically pleasing. These screens use Rockwool to absorb noise and retain rainwater, promoting plant growth and requiring minimal maintenance. They are ideal for residential areas with average noise impact.

Garden-box screens are designed to support climbing plants, using wooden strips and earth to provide a substrate for vegetation. These screens offer an attractive and efficient noise reduction solution without the need for heavy machinery.
